Supported you? Managed thoughtfully? Tried to understand people's strengths and assign work accordingly? Do they even fully understand what your team does?
Mine might as well be from another planet. Great at office politics, useless at the actual work, and convinced that passive-aggressive behavior equals authority. I don't think anyone would notice, or work would suffer, if they were gone tomorrow.
Great managers know how to navigate all of this stuff and get out of their teams way, they are not the smartest people in any room but their team makes them smart!! Do not downplay office politics, you may have the best team out there but if you can't maneuver office politics you will be a loser every time! PDRs just proved that as people got raises who had no business getting raises from a performance lens because they told the story correctly to upper management while others who let their performance speak well they lost out!!
@OP help... What help. He is so far tuned away in his India first that he mistreats everyone non Indian.
Simple don't care just because he thinks every one needs to be Indians he can go live there with his kind.
