My mgr got axed... and now I report to an offshore manager who doesn’t really understand what I do. doesn’t even try to... most of the time it feels like she just tells other people to do the things my old manager used to handle.Since all that happened the place has gotten a lot more and more and more toxic, with more offshore managers showing up while the people who actually cared about the work keep getting laid off and everyone keeps talking about AI like that’s the answer to everything.it will never be the answer. horrible.

If you manager is offshore it means they are ramping up offshore support to lift and shift your job from the US to India.

Your app could have 500 INCs in your name and offshore management wouldnt care as long as their external facing metrics look good.
Offshore managers are the best, they aren't up your @ss, because they are clueless and can't tell you what is right and wrong because they know nothing abour this company or Healthcare for that matter.
I don’t know about your manager, but IME offshore employees don’t know what to do, period.
