I’m reaching a breaking point with my manager’s behavior. He continues to make inappropriate touching, comments and requests, despite knowing that I’m married(he is divorced). His conduct is unprofessional and unwanted, and it has created a very uncomfortable work environment. I’ve considered reporting it to HR, but I’m concerned about potential retaliation or my work situation becoming even more difficult. Has anyone at EM dealt with a similar situation, and how did you navigate it?

@a5 the anonymous hotline and thir so called investigations are worthless. Reported thefts and bribes and nothing was done
HR only protects the company from lawsuit and will do nothing to help you sadly. They are very poor at preventing or addressing any retaliation as well. Honestly best option is to quit sadly.
If you are in Texas, video tape the harassment using a surveillance camera with voice capability. A video is worth a thousand words when you report him to H/R. It will no longer be your word against his.
@a5 It is hard for them to fully look into something without having a person to speak with and get more info. If you do call the hotline or report it anonymously, it make take longer for them to look into it. Better to call and speak with someone or fill out that form in Service Now.
HR's role is to protect managers. If they go after him, you will also likely be cut, in my experience... and it will be YOUR fault because it is YOUR responsibility to report EVERYTHING ASAP or you are the one out of compliance.
If you are experiencing harassment, I strongly encourage you to report it to Employee Services. If you fill out a ticket on goto/workplaceconcern, I know they have people on the team who will reach out to you to get more info. Don't let it continue without reporting it. Give them a chance to try and help you.
@a7 Hotline is not HR. The Investigations team under the audit umbrella gets those tips as it’s primarily used for fraud. If this escalates, they will interview the subject. That’s why you need evidence beforehand to prove your side.
I do not know if OP has tried hotline or not but hotline is actually HR, they call you back because they have your number and ask for evidence, dates, witnesses so the same process....
Isn’t there an anonymous hotline to report such things?
Definitely need to start documenting or gathering evidence so it’s not just your word against his.
Find a lawyer that specializes in this. Web search should help you. I would NOT go to HR until you talk to a lawyer. HR is there to protect the corporation, and as a result their actions may not necessarily favor you.
