Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Right hand Left hand

Live in Frontier territory and currently a fiber customer. Received a flyer in the mail informing me of some new savings after the merger by bundling. Absolute joke. Called in to ask about the savings on the flyer. Frontier rep tried to make an offer that had nothing to do with the flyer. Asked her about the flyer offer and she had no idea about it. Said she would have to transfer me to Verizon. Given the extremely busy messaging and asked for call back. 40 minutes later received a callback and he was clueless. Got put on hold and eventually dropped. Called back in and that rep seemed to know about bundled services. However what he offered didn’t match the flyer. Eventually got a good offer but told the guy that I wanted to check with the family to make sure they were aware of the offer and my plans. During the interim I investigated the Verizon website. Lot of clauses in the offers. Now I’m not sure what I will get if I sign up. Pretty much a cluster at this point.

@aw I think the MVGA woke virus ate your brain. If DEI didn't exist, you would have surely invented it by now :)

Title threw me off... thought you were referencing how DEI VP/Directors run a meeting using group think

Retired and living on a fixed income. Really don’t care about how dead the marketing department is if I can save money especially with a 3 year price lock. However that marketing department should have informed the reps about the offer and made sure there was training and coordination. Again afraid to sign up because the billing department might not be on board. Would rather pay more for my wireless than receive a bill later that has no relationship to that offer. I can imagine trying to resolve that.

@OP Bundling as a sales proposition is vastly overrated. As is one-stop shopping. All a sign of a marketing department dead on the side of road, bereft of ideas and out of gas.
