Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Higher raises for 2023 or watch the employees go.

Heard it from many in the last 4-6 months if wages do not come up after inflation pounding. And the 3% cut in 2020 which never recovered from at all.
Will be heading off to other places of employment.
Sad to lose more good experienced people.

I have 2 great prospects outside of company. Asked back for 2nd interview by one and other told only interview 5 total.
Timing may be perfect if a poor raise then can job jump off this sinking ship.
Suggested others the same route.

Live in the real world. Raise for sitting in Tim Hortons and in your trucks all day.

With food inflation in general up by 5-8% and competition paying 4 %
I guess it will be 4-5 % because Enbridge wants to keep good employees,

Your raise increase went to higher dividends - https://www.enbridge.com/media-center/news/details?id=123746&lang=en

I really want to believe the comment about big raises. Every time an exec has been asked about raises during town halls they always say the same BS about being competitive and it depends on the location. In other words, they don't give a fu-k. They've been paid millions over the years and don't remember or never had to struggle. Pay the water bill or get my car fixed? Stop donating to charities and my retirement. Going to food banks to supplement. Execs are out of touch with normal people and they don't care

Could be worse. Heard that Pembina laid off a single woman with two kids yesterday. I don't think even Enbridge would pull that kind of cr-p.

A little bird whispered in my ear that massive raises will be distributed in 2023. We can all look forward to that over the coming weeks! I’d bet that certain departments are well rewarded.

Pay at the big ENG consulting firms is currently above what ENB is offering.

It will be a disaster for the company if they don't try and keep up. Whether they care about the fallout from this... who knows. Maybe they want things to fail.
