Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle Ki---d By AWS in Gartner MQ

Wow - look how far AWS is ahead of the Big O. Oracle was once dominant, now they are an afterthought. And letting LE be the spokesperson reminds me of how sad it was to watch Di-k Clark on New Year's Eve the last few years. No new digital-native company will select Oracle. They can only milk the on-prem customers still in Oracle Jail. The should rename OCI to Oracle Jail Lite. We will make your life a little less miserable if you migrate to OCI.

"Yes problems are there , but we do solve them fairly quickly than any competitors. Have fun mocking people from OCI, but it is here to stay and is the future of Oracle."

Thanks for the holiday chuckle! I'm sure everyone agrees that OCI is truly "here to stay".

OCI is specifically designed for RDBMS workload and database security. Aws is not just database. They can host any application with massive resources , like gaming servers. Comparing aws with Oracle is stupid to say least. People who are rejoicing that Oracle is far behind is just mis informed or may not be associated with OCI in anyway. Yes problems.are there , but we do solve them fairly quickly than any competitors. Have fun mocking people from OCI, but it is here to stay and is the future of Oracle.

And once these customers figure out how to migrate off Oracle products with minimal pain, you'll see on-prem change as well.
