Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Would You Whistleblow on Oracle?

There's a lot going on at this company, clearly. From corrupt middle management, to uncommunicative leadership around layoffs, to SEC violations, many of us discovered so much more once we landed here.

It's only a matter of time until the cr-p really hits the fan... but would you help accelerate that? Why or why not?

I tried. I filed a complaint with USCIS about oracle’s blatant fraud and abuse of the H-1B visa system when I was a hiring manager. Oracle specifically refuses to hire American citizens for open positions rather than extending an H-1B, which is illegal. I can prove it and have extensive documentation, but USCIS doesn’t care, since they are captured by big tech and their favorite law firm, Berry Appelman and Leyden.

SEC is for the protection of investors and Wall Street. Publicly
traded companies are expected to folkways their company's code of
Ethics and if they don't there is usually consequences.

Bull to ever poster who replied to this thread. You all make threats, what have you saw or wittiness? I worked for oracle 20 years and was laid off in Aug. they are no different then any other software company. If your that unhappy get out. You could eliminate half the dev positions, management and 3/4 of hr and finance and it wouldn’t make much of a difference. I saw many primadonnas that could be cut in ever aspect of the business. Stop whining at some point you will end up on the chopping block it’s just a matter of time.

If I had really good information, I would whistleblow on Oracle big time.

But, I don't, so I can't. If you whistleblow, it has to be done outside the company. Be careful internally... or just go somewhere else.

Oracle is a truly horrific place to work. You can't complain internally though. There are enough people who will just tow the line and want you to shut up, to make your life miserable. Don't bother. Move to a smaller company where what the employees do, actually matters. That's pretty much all you can do.

I tried - several times - to highlight things wrong inside of Oracle. 100% don't do it within Oracle. During their "investigation", they will try and determine "Good Faith" in your reporting, which then becomes how they discredit you. They will nit pick things, and weigh how far up the chain your claims go. If your claims revolve around people under Larry/Safra, 100% you will suffer greatly. Your work will change. The meetings you are invited to will decrease. Any sick/vacation or time off will allow them to bring in someone to replace you or take some of your work. Oracle is brilliant in doing things legally, so you'll know the bad stuff happening to you because of bringing whistleblow stuff to attention, will never be able to tie together how your career changed dramatically. Yes. If you are fortunate to be in an elite position to see stuff, your whistleblow will 100% be the wrong move on a personal basis. Been there done that. Never again. To this day, my stomach churns when I see the internal spam emails about how wonderful Oracle is with diversity or other stuff. Its all false and designed to get more fodder into Oracle or change our perception to the world. Yes, Oracle internally has some bright spots, and some good people, but overall its a nasty place to work. Don't whistleblow is you like your paycheck and your "Career". Someday I would love to talk honestly about how bad it is inside of Oracle, but I know I would be called "disgruntled" or had a "personal axe to grind". I know how the machine works.

Go straight to SEC, GSA.Do not report internally.

100%. Go straight to the reporting agency. reporting internally will just get it buried. Along with your career.

Not just Oracle either, pretty much everyone.
