Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

HR is short for Human Remains

HR's only functions now are processing layoffs and firings, and rewarding the few "leadership" cr--s who scurried out of the sl--e to the lip of the barrel. They are shameless ghouls.

All the good ones came and left. They quickly realized Nike HR was a group of manipulative sycophants. The ones who remain are losers.

HR doesn't technically make the final decisions, but they drive and influence. You’d be amazed at how challenging some leaders find cross-functional alignment and decision making. A great HR partner is essential for guiding them and working behind the scenes to bridge those gaps and make things happen. On the other side, HR partners who don't do anything, don't know their teams and only leverage People Solutions are useless.

@ba you nailed it. Essentially the HRBP serves no purpose. The business makes the decisions. People solutions can help and does help with the rest of it so why on earth do we have all of these HRBPs who just hang out with their BFFs, traveling, attending off sites, private lunches, stirring up drama? Let’s start by getting rid of them. I sounds like a great solution to our biggest problem “they serve no purpose”

HR doesn’t make decisions. HR just does what the business tells them to do. You think HR determines your fate ? lol. Nah some VP or senior director does.

HR is where mean girls from college end up working in after their GOP dreams are crushed

Having a soul is an automatic disqualifier to work in HR

Most of them are just doing their jobs. However, it cannot be fun to be in HR at Nike (unless you are at the top).
