From those who have just left here or have a serious intention to leave, I almost always hear how they idealize almost all other employers. I understand that they do this because they are sick of Oracles's incompetence, the feeling that they are not valued here, etc. However, is the grass really greener elsewhere? I think that mediocrity, bad management, not valuing employees and not rewarding them adequately, as well as job instability has become very common in most companies in the industry.

Sociopaths may be able to get jobs easily. It’s keeping them that’s the hard part.
Scamdemic? Your points are lost in your misinformed rant.
Just go to Salesforce with all the other legacy enterprise software sociopaths.
Oh, wait. Guess that didn’t work out as well as they planned.
You can do everything right, and everything is peaches. Then your company is merged or acquired, upending your blissful existence
I know you are referring to the big 0, but my advice is to don't even think about it until it actually happens. Then give it a chance to play out. If it goes sideways have a contingency. Don't worry about things that haven't happened.
the only way you have control is to run your own business.
Not even. I was getting a consulting business off the ground, lining up contracts and making contacts when the big scamdemic hit. Contracts cancelled, no new business, it all went downhill in an instant. After a year of doing nothing I folded up and officially retired. I did everything right and still lost money.
You can do everything right, and everything is peaches. Then your company is merged or acquired, upending your blissful existence. And sometimes your job. TBH the only way you have control is to run your own business. Corporate life means you are a pawn on someone else’s chessboard.

Depends on what country you are talking about, but here in the US, if you are a tech employee, the grass is brown on both sides of the fence. This is not rocket science folks.
Remember that engineers are just like lightbulbs - to be burned up and replaced with the cheapest ones you can find. Just like if you shop at Walmart and 100% the American way.
PIck your companies carefully. The interview process goes both ways. Do your homework. First, prospective employers like it when you know about their company, second it gives you a good idea what the place is like. Ask questions, think critically during the interview process. Be an active listener. Determine if they are the best fit for YOU which is as important for them to determine if you are the best fit for them. Ask around. Do some digging. Find web sites like this. Do this and you'll get a good idea what the place is like. Do all you can to make an informed decision.
Personally, in doing this, I dodged a couple of bullets when looking to make the change.
remember the old saying, "Sin in haste, repent in leisure". Take your time gather all your facts and when you do make the decision, do it and don't look back.
Good luck to all of you!
Oracle is its own class, unfortunately.
Lowest of the lowest due to incompetent corrupt middle mgmt. Of course they blame everything on upper mgmt calling the shots. It that is true then, they don’t need these goons. The goons are the ones that choose to steal work from employees then, have them terminated, give themselves raises and not others and keep morale at rock bottom. They’re despicable.
No one will hire them. They sold their souls to the devil.
