Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

They never check to see which roles are missing

The layoffs seem almost entirely driven by the bottom line, with little other logic. We pick up the slack left by those who were let go, clinging to the vain hope that working harder will save our own jobs, so no one ever pays attention to the fact that critical roles have been eliminated. They care even less that everything will eventually fall apart. There’s only so much people and teams can endure before they break.

It's about the notion of zero sum get that bag and get out. Held up like a virtue because the oligarchs do it, si why not destroy everyone then move on like the parasites they are. Chainsaw included.

I was talking to a coworker and they were complaining how whenever they reach out to any other teams for help, there is always push back and teams unable to help due to the amount of work they are already dealing with.
