Thread regarding VISA Inc. layoffs

Rumor has it…

There’s a lot of chatter that the Center of Excellence in India isn’t going so well. Work that was moved there seems to be having issues, and U.S. teams are frustrated with the quality and follow-through. I’ve also heard leadership may not be happy with the push to Bangalore and that layoffs there could happen. Curious if anyone knows how true this is.

A “center of excellence” in India is not doing well? Shocker!

There are two different issues in India vs Poland.
India people work hard and long hours, but they seldom take initiative and output is to get stuff done quickly vs done right. (Sweeping generalisation )
Poland is opposite. People are good, but don't want to work in alignment with usa hours and their working pattern are very restrictive.

Neither are optimal but both are too big to see whole sale cuts at this point

From my experience, the teams in India have delivered suboptimal outputs to put it mildly. This already caused customer facing incidents. I have no idea what’s going on there so cannot expand.

With Poland the issue from what I see seems that the hiring is going really slow and people are not eager to move there.

Is the situation with the Poland office any different?

I am not going to tar everyone with the same brush, but let's be honest here, there are more bad people than good in Warsaw.

That's basically any outsourced work going to India. It happens at my company. Keeps me employed since I have to do re-work on their sc--w-ups.
