Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

How can you deal with an incompetent manager?

To say he is not a good leader would be an understatement. His management style is neither effective nor constructive, among many other things. Even worse, it is even verbally abusive at times. Our last manager was great, so the new guy has left us confused and demoralized in the last few months. Is there anything we can do in this situation to get rid of him without hurting ourselves in the process?

I would have thought this is post was from a disgruntled employee, if I had not seen it for myself.

If you're male in development and incompetent you have a clear path to being director. That's how it works in CUS with the token exception and everyone knows it and nothing is done about it. Zero inspiration they just complain, complain and make the rest of us complain and then pretend they know what's going on in meetings to buy time. It's happened for decades and has continued to get worse so I don't think you can do anything until they quit because no one's got your back even people you thought did don't. It's on us now if we want to still work here with awful management

There is nothing you can do. I tried (maybe same manager), but that seems to be the traits they look for in “leadership”. They let me go after complaining to HR. Best of luck to you. Remember no dollar amount is worth losing yourself and soul.

Easy solution:

Just wait. He will get promoted in no time.

He has upper management written all over him.

Hate to say it, but when you have a bad boss, most of times you have to leave and move on.
