Anyone else starting to feel some kind of way about not having team members? Over the past few weeks two campus administrators have been in and out of our store "holiday shopping". They've made several snide comments about the lack of "student work positions" in our store. Where are your student employees? How many students do you hire per semester? Don't you think you should have students working here? My SM just shrinks inward at every comment. My smart-a-s told him that there's a survey at the bottom of the receipt if he has any issues or concerns. 🤣

Come on! It is almost 2023. Half of America is working some type of remote job that has nothing to do with their current geography.
I am not trying to be mean. You owe it to yourself to find something that is more satisfying and has a future. If you are at a university or college make some friends that are associated with student placement center. As an ex-follett employee I can assure you that there is a much brighter world out there. End the tyranny and take charge of your future.
STOCKHOLM SYNDROME?
Not everybody lives in a big a-s city where jobs are plentiful. Sometimes it's either work at the University or Walmart. Walmart's not much better lol.
Why do you stay
Forget student workers. How about any workers at all. I have no help whatsoever. Our winter starts January 3 and I'm the only one scheduled l. The higher ups only care about maximizing profit. They don't give a sh-t that were overworked and underpaid. EK will never come to my store. Were on the titanic and we all need to decide if we're getting on a lifeboat or going down with the ship.
