I've been at State Street 10+ years, and I'm in constant fear of loosing my job almost every quarter!!

The one time I actually felt a little secure, my role was suddenly eliminated. I gave suggestions on what my roles entails but they assumed I was trying to convince them to keep me. They brushed me off as I was insignificant.

Some time later when I returned to the company under a different role and team. I found out my prior group replaced me with an offshore worker. This person couldn't performed any of my responsibilities. Management desperately wanted my help. I gave them the same attitude that they gave me: brush them off and treated them insignificant. These people are no longer in the company.

Read the 10-k. 77% of the employees are located outside the U.S.

Has anyone else noticed a sudden spike in managers aggressively verifying office attendance? If you are facing this scrutiny, be aware: the company may have already decided your role is redundant.

It appears that instead of formal layoffs, they are pivoting to 'Quiet Firing' tactics—making the work environment uncomfortable to force voluntary resignations and avoid paying severance. It is baffling to comply with RTO mandates only to be micromanaged remotely and then ignored when actually in the office. Do not expect loyalty from this leadership team.

Working for State Street can be summed up in two words "organisational neglect". This company is a farcically employer. Senior management are id--ts on survival mode. There is no "management".
