Thread regarding PNC layoffs

This will backfire

I've never been more productive in my entire career than while working from home. That's about to change. I have no intention of answering any more mails after working hours once RTO starts. Something urgent needs to be addressed as I'm about to leave? It can wait for the next day, I have to go home. And so on.

When they RTO5'd my brother's company, people were mad af but all eventually complied. Except there is one guy (i think from the metrology team or something) who drives in every morning, parks in the free lot or just double parks on a side street, badges in and makes a coffee. Then he does a lap around his floor, shakes a few hands and lets his face be seen then promptly leaves for the day.

If he has a big meeting he just Zooms it in from home. Metrology guy is the real genius.

@at make sure you leave work at work, including the company laptop in a locker. No need to lug it back and forth!

Agreed. If I have to worry about beating traffic to get back home at a reasonable hour then I'm not sticking around like I used to to get extra work done. My personal life comes first.
