No news on what were doing after news of funding lost. Iguess it takes a while to identify the bare minimum personnel to keep the lights on long enough for CZ to take over.
I'm glad I bailed out in 2023. The writing was on the wall. Brent's resume reads like a closer. No reputation to really tarnish, but getting paid to be the fall guy. Many incompetent managers, and too many to support. Too many favorites being protected in several departments. It was a proof of concept facility, and the failure of the state to provide CHIPS Act funds to onsemi sealed its fate.

Why does ON have two sites on the same street in Hudson NH? The buildings are impressive, is the OP implying both those locations will shut? Seems hard to believe. One site has a nice US flag hoisted in front of it.

Management will know by the last week of January who will be laid off. Typically 3-4 weeks prior to layoffs. Expect layoffs to start February 23rd-March 2nd.

@en Shermdool was probably the greatest accomplishment of those engineers. You’ll have to forgive my lack of belief that anything would be different if that had never happened.
Enough with the Sh*rmdool talk. It was a childish prank that wasted engineering hours that could have been contributing towards the success of the company. Maybe if that prank wasn’t pulled, ONHD would be in a better position than it is now.
Don’t start wetting the bed everyone. Sure, 200mm is probably moving to Shermdool by Q2, and yes that was basically the only hope for Hudsons success, but with the amazing leadership at ONHD they will surely find a way to right the ship.
hi. this can not be true. I am not a big-wig but we have survived many trouble times with the company where good men and woman was let go. it got so bad when I heard rumor of them saying goodbye to many hard working employees that some of them had bad-watting issue from the stress of the unknown. from stress. i did have trust in mangement . but what is this we hear now? it cannot be true. this is not the company that does this. i pray for all of you during this trying times.
Brent is about as transparent as pavement and doesn't care about anyone at the site. He sits in his office all day and never establishes any relationships. Its not like we're big enough to where it's not possible. He should know morale is at an all time low and do something about it. It's so obvious he doesn't care about the sites future or almost any of the employees.
The group of engineers in B2 who think they are better than everyone ( we all know who they are ) are responsible for the sh-t quality we have but refuse to stop sniffing their own farts so we remain in this cycle of sh-t.
I agree there are alot of Lazy workers but they get saved because they are the fabrication managers favorite. Wait till they have to go out there and work for a company who is strict.
All of this was very predictable years ago. Those who have stayed, have their own reasonings. Some valid, some based upon pure laziness to find employment elsewhere. To each their own.
