Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Oracle’s COVID Response Was a Harbinger

Looking back as a RWS worker, I remember every company shutting down and sending workers home. Even the NBA postponed the league. However, Oracle employees were coming in right up until that last week of March 2020. Many of us wondered why we were still going in and potentially risking our lives. They didn’t tell us to stay home until the last Sunday of March.

And that’s when we should have known. If Oracle leaders weren’t willing to communicate COVID until they absolutely had to due to the edicts of county governments back then… why would they care about $1 billion in layoffs.

It only matters when money comes into play, and even then, it’s about whose money. Hint: It’s never yours, but always Larry’s.

I’m so glad I’m somewhere better now. I hope the rest of you can leave too.

Are you people still worried about Covid?

I was in a small meeting with CM in late February 2020 and someone asked about what Oracle planned to do re: COVID safety and he was so flippant and basically said “not my prob.”

Just gross.

Being woke is the least of Oracle’s problems. It’s not even a thing unless you are a prejudiced type who think that it’s AOK to be a a d|ck to those you see as a lesser being.

For most of us, we could always choose to work from home. Nobody forced us into the office. I think what's far worse is Oracle shoving intolerable woke values via D&I down employees' throats. And employees who object to the company's political harassment are fired.

"I’m so glad I’m somewhere better now. I hope the rest of you can leave too."

The decision to leave or stay at Oracle is based solely on The Oracle Doormat Principal, and nothing else.
