How long it took to get your Lumpsum payment after you turn in new employment notification form? Did you get Lumpsum payment along with regular paycheck?

So, it works like this. Salary continuation, biweekly pay, is the method of choice which allows you to keep your benefits going and you don't need to claim COBRA benefits until the end of your severance period. Yes, do not accept a new position in the first 60 days as a precaution but really only in the first 30 days of "working" time would WF attempt to eliminate your severance. After 60 days when you notify them of your new employment the key is when your new benefits start. Then WF will issue a lump sum for remaining severance, and it is not reduced. It's the same amount you would have gotten in biweekly payments. Yes, taxes are higher, but you get that back at tax filing time.

WTH are you talking about? A lump sum payment is made after the 60 day notice period.

If you are hired and report being hired within that 60 day notice period, you do not get any severance.

Why even worry about? I'd just keep taking the monthly payments. They withhold less taxes that way too

Also I continued to receive the bi-weekly pay until the lump sum was processed. Someone called me about a week after I submitted it but I was working and unable to answer. Left a message acknowledging they had received it and we’re processing it and to call with questions.

It took a month for me to relieve my lump sum payout earlier this fall.

Do not ask for the lump sum payment or you will be paying higher taxes. Ride it out until the last payment. My package indicated up to 6 weeks for the lump sum payout.

If you have to ask what the OP is talking about you should go back to your coloring book

During severance period, if you get a new job and opt for Lumpsum payment, how long it will take to get the money?
