RTO -Assigned to a local branch

I noticed few members on my broader team assigned to a local branch inspite of multiple office location in the 40 mile vicinity. Can you actually go into a branch and work form there? I don't want to do a 1hr commune to my office location when there is a branch 5 minutes away. Has anyone been successful requesting that change?

Yes you can. The office location is just required on your profile.

You don't actually work there, your mail is just sent there.

I know people who used to, they weren’t in or near a hub so they had an “office” in a branch. The two I know who were in this situation NEVER went to the branch.

Someone in my old group used to work out of a branch. It was a lot closer, and the commute to the main office would have been an hour each way. She got special permission and there was a charge for the space on our department budget.

It’s a glitch in the system that some people’s work addresses are showing incorrect in Workday. Why they haven’t fixed this issue yet is beyond me. Been like that for about a year

No, you cannot. Unless they have admin space on a second floor or something. You definitely cannot sit on the bank platform.

I wonder the same since my full-time WFH job now shows in Workday as being at one of the two closest physical branches. It makes no sense for me to work there since I'm in IT and would have zero collaboration to do with retail as I support another LOB.
