Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Anyone know the COBRA administrator in the US?

Shot in the dark here looking for some help. I left SAP in May 2025 and have been on COBRA administered by Health Equity/Wageworks. When logging on to make my January payment, I was told that SAP has moved to a new COBRA administrator. No notice was given. I have an email out to HR Direct, but I wanted to see if anyone knows who this is so I can speed up the process.

@pc SAP HR Direct sent an email to my personal address yesterday informing me about it. "Effective January 1st, 2026 SAP will be switching Cobra vendors from Health Equity to HSA Bank. HSA Bank is actively preparing to distribute COBRA packages for 2026. They anticipate that all packages will be dispatched by 01/02/2026. Upon receipt of your package, you will have two weeks to complete enrollment. Should you not receive a package by 01/12/2026, please contact the HSA Bank Customer Service Desk at (833) 509-1542 to request access to an online package.
Once payment is received, your coverage will be retro’d back to January 1st."

They included the new COBRA rates for 2026. Hefty increases for medical plans. I'm having to move off of COBRA since I can no longer afford it. I am looking to see if I qualify for medicaid moving into 2026 but would be interested to hear if anyone has found any alternatives that are more affordable while also providing decent family coverage.

@OP How were you notified that Wageworks is being replaced by another administrator? I logged into Wageworks and didn't see anything informing me of this

So...I'm the OP and am replying just to keep you all informed that SAP is filled with absolute mo--ns (like you didn't know). SAP is changing COBRA providers in the US and chose to not inform anyone (hello? ERISA?). And the transition to their new provider is going poorly....so we're at the end of December, and we are not able to make COBRA premium payments for January. I put in an HR direct ticket and got some BS back from the Service Center in Argentina. Fortunately, I have friends still at SAP and had them look up this person in SuccessMap...got their email address along with the next 3 people up the chain. Emailed them all. Got a phone call 5 minutes later. Long story, but Total Rewards is filled with absolute id--ts. As if you didn't already know.

@OP sorry no. But good luck with HR Direct once you leave Shawshank.
