Let me tell you something I was a senior leader within the store, I did everything for my team 25years, they simply do not care.
It is all about the numbers, not you not me... The numbers are everything I had enough of the over worked and what they do to the staffing.
My word of advice is... Run, there is life outside of this terrible company. I could go on on for hours about this place, I know every detail and aspect of how they operate.
RUN!
By stress free I think he means numb. We're numb after all the BS we've dealt with since ISM and poor planning.
I haven't stressed over this holiday. The days of letting long lines and registers that don't work bother me are over. Its just not worth it. This company cares more about the next special interest group and social cause than they care about upgrading tech and store interiors. Im just waiting to hear about layoffs and how much of a bonus Jeff and his crew will get by getting rid of us
Bonuses are nothing new in the corporate world. If you are all so upset about receiving a bonus, then some of you should have worked your way up to management position. But from what I can surmise by your writing, there is a reason you are just hourly associates in retail. If don't like it, then leave. Trust me, once you leave Macy's, you will be so happy.
Definitely not stress free whether you work for Macys or another employer such as NCR.
Both have a lot in common:
- Very bad level of communication
- No respect for your employees
- Upper management cares about themselves and their bonuses
- Unnecessary meetings and expenses that do nothing to help you get the job done
- Out of date with technology except for certain locations and accounts
To the last poster it’s tailor not the name Taylor!
Now why vote this statement down? This is funny and the OP didn't even mention the grammar.

Silence minions and get back to work....you want to talk about stress well I have to decide which society parties to attend which I will benefit by being there and what attire I will be wearing from my taylors since I would never wear anything we carry!!! What day I can receive gifts from my subordinates, what to do with my bonuses and stock options, how to navigate the year end to appear successful.... Now that is stressful..... Oh yes I have granted you Christmas day off be grateful but be back all the earlier the next day and be ready for returns and inventory...... Regards JG......
I can tell you the meaning of stress... try working in womens shoes with 2 level stock room . no runners. no ringers. and you are by yourself for 8-10 hrs running up and down steps and when you do get to sit down you can barley eat from all the stress.. I like to see Jeff the clown do this for even one day.. I did it for 4 years
They did not give us our bonus due in November for SFC ?? and are blowing us off?? What should we do?? Someone in HR said it was miscoded and we will get it at the end of January but now the GM is saying they have to open a case???
Lmao! That’s what the most executives care about, their bonuses. Meanwhile we lowly workers who do all the work don’t get nothing for Xmas. Macys doesn’t even give a little of a Christmas bonus to their employees. This year they just cut hours instead LOL.
The only Jeff will stress about is his
Christmas bonus.
