Cut Susan Johnson's organization. That entire team su-ks.
Will management layoffs in 2026 include severance?

Let me make it easy for everyone- keep folks in the US and India and get rid of everyone else . Do it quick, in one sweep less pain , less retribution . That’s the new model - let’s not kid anyone!
Based on the past few years, probably about 20-30k layoffs this year. Their goal is about 80k to hit their revenue per employee target. They have just under 129k today. They reduced about 12k last year, 10k year before, 42k, 27k. 5 years ago we were at 230k employees, they’ve cut 100k in 5 years. I’m just going to guess 2026 will be heavier on the layoffs since anyone still here hasn’t gotten the hint and left willingly.
We’ve already been advised 1q there’s a layoff, but fortunately we have plenty of people with their hand up, ready to go, with more on the waiting list,
Not for NTEC in Cali…
I asked my Magic 8 Ball and this is what I got back.
It is certain.
It is decidedly so.
Without a doubt.
Yes, definitely.
You may rely on it.
As I see it, yes.
Most likely.
Outlook good.
Yes.
Signs point to yes.
They happen every month of every year so….I predict that.

You must be new. Layoffs are a major part of stanks culture.
The downward spiral will continue in 2036 and beyond. Each year gets at&t one step closer to bankruptcy.
Layoffs/RTO/Unpaid FTW will continue in 2026. Head count target for AT&T is less than 100K employees.
