Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Can we stop with all the calls

Jeeeesus!!

We have calls practically every day. Monday morning to recap the weekend, Tuesday afternoon call, Wed morning to recap Monday and Tuesday, Thursday SmB call, Friday morning to recap Wed and Thursday. Do you only have calls to make it look like you are busy?

Case in point, an smb call at 2pm about………the same message that has been beaten to a pulp and that could have been put in an email

You picked the leaders, trust that the leader is going to execute the game plan, you don’t have to be in the leaders face every 10 minutes , give your people room and watch them shine!!

I'll never understand how we are basically a tech company or trying to be on yet once a month we have to drag a bunch of retail kids down to the store two hours early for a meeting that could have been a brief email or entirely possible to have been done from home on blue jeans. Most days I don't even consider my store manager as an employee because they are stuck on calls in their office.

Let's proclaim January as "no call January" and let our leaders work at other methods of driving results. The many calls a day philosophy failed. Go work with your people and let attendees go work along side their people. One tenth of the calls are needed. We train people how to lead calls instead of sell products and take care of customers. Every call we have should be about learning and becoming better. If you walk away from a call that was basically a verbal email then it was a waste of time.

Agreed

They need to get rid of a large chunk of middle management and streamline the operation.
