Lower management is scared to make any decisions. Tell clients one thing and devs another . It makes product failures seem like it the devs fault, but in reality devs are being told to do nothing to save money.......What is going on.

Lower management are only hired to be "Yes men". For the most part they are the biggest POS managers I have ever met outside of Wells Fargo.
Only SVPs who report directly to an MC member are able to have their voices/issues heard…Also from top down are percentages dictated …regardless how great you are
I agree with the first response. I took over a team late in 2021 and almost immediatly got the impression that management at my level is just to have a built in fall-guy. My team constantly had staffing changes I was rarely or never made aware of until it was done. I have little ability to control my teams workload without a vp swooping in to ask questions, wait 3 seconds for my answer, then apply their own changes (that I, of course, own from that point forward). I started the year with 7 people on my team, bit am ending the year with 3, one of whom has a bullseye on their head for not having an office to report to. I'm also being demanded to find more work in the company, but of course my headcount won't change.
Lower/Middle management is pretty much helpless. They have no say in most things, everything comes from the top. It's a horrible place to be in that level of management.
