i recall at the end of 2023, my BU was asked to come in two days a week, thursday and one other day. i left shortly after but people from my old group said that they are still mostly working one day a week as of 2025.

i am amazed at how many years at cisco that i worked mostly from home. i went to the office around 50 times in my last 4 years v. almost a 1000 times in the prior 4 years

this will be like any "process" at Cisco

you make a show of it for a few weeks then go back to your routine

This is silly and unlikely.

Even the people who have been mandated to go back to office, don't. Or if they do, they clock in for a couple hours and leave.

No one notices either way, and every attempt fails.

If cisco wants to retain any amount of the limited talent we still have, removing work/life balance, isn't the way to do it.

Cisco is full of d-mb people remote or not.
If was a good company I would raise concerns about losing good employees for rto. In cisco has no impact anyway

All the companies are doing RTO. it’s an easy way for them to get rid of remote workers so they don’t have to pay severance. If they don’t leave, then they are first to be rid of.

I have a friend who lives in a different city from where all his team lives in. His team has been going to office 2x for the last 4 years while he has stayed remote. Now he is willing to go to the office in our city, but I fear it’s too late for him.
