How strict has the 4 days in office requirement been?

The accounting is lax. Meaning if you badge in and connect with laptop and then leave- you have a day’s credit. But the enforcement I think is high. Supposedly there is no manager discretion for non compliance. What that means I don’t know which I guess is the point of this thread.

MDT asking for RTO itself isn't that surprising, seems to be a general trend across various industries. Pretty sh---y the way they announced and implemented it though -- without much forethought. Would've been more palatable if they gave incentives/ perks for people to actually show up in the office other than a new coat of paint on the walls.

@10v it was explained to me that it wouldn’t be a goal as rather than being something you try to do, it’s something that is a condition of my employment.

I just wondering if the RTO is an actual goal for 2026, I've heard many folks talking about it. My team never mentioned it, but we are 4-5days on Site.

@ef doesn’t take an hour to make a 5 second post. If this job goes belly up then I have the other job to rely on. Think smarter not harder. I’m pretty sure others are in this situation too

IMHO.... MDT will push all the "excessive inventory issues, RIF, RTO action" into the up coming QTR .. kind of like kick the can down the road and deal with it later in the future.

Nobody is actually tracking. It was implemented to prevent food services providers at MDT sites from bailing out from low sales.

It’s not strictly enforced. However, I won’t be surprised if they use your attendance against you when deciding who to RIF.
