Thread regarding Optum layoffs

They just cut the 401k match

This company is circling the drain. Cutting by 1% the match. Cutting costs everywhere. You just lost whatever raise your were getting. Actually worse with the health insurance rises.

Probably a good place to sit around waiting to retire. For a young person looking for growth, appreciation and reward I may be best growing a garden.

Morale was already low for me today, this solidified my decision to find another job asap. 1% may not sound like a lot, but when you factor compounded interest, it’s significant. Cheap a$$es.

Company is circling the drain. This was it for me. No raises and now a 2%+ total comp decrease depending on contributions.

I am sure we will all see that increase in our raise or bonus. Also sure that our exec will get an equal 1% cut to their total comp (eye roll). Cheap F&%#S

appreciate UHG that I can still live paycheck by paycheck, rather than homeless.

Go MN additional 0.44 % tax, and 1% pay cut via match reduction. This company is anti-American.

The 401k page on the enrollment site still has the old match info ($1 for each $1 you contribute from 1-3%, $0.50 for each $1 you contribute from 4-6%). Way to pull the rug.

Came here to say this. It’s bullsh-t. I also don’t recall seeing this change mentioned in the open enrollment information.

I just read the email as well. You give your staff a 2 week heads up of this kind of change. It’s ridiculous.

Bonuses gone, 401k match cut, health insurance rates up. They are just trying to get people to leave.
