I was laid off in San Jose. Received an invite for 1:1 with manager and when I walk in there was a HR person present. Severence was 8 weeks + 2 week per year of service. RSUs prorated to the last day of service.

Chandler had layoffs today. Saw one realtime. Watched as the Morlock took the Eloi away. All is good again!

@ay That sounds strategic, like they are exiting some area. Or just outsourcing to India or ???

If you have normal 1:1 this week it will be scheduled that time . But your manager will be so hesitant to reschedule the 1:1 based on your flexibility . That's the hint you will be fired . All the team meetings are postponed till Thursday .

For those laid off, how did it happen? Was there a meeting scheduled in advance, and if so, how far in advance? Or were you just called into a meeting last minute?
