Lmao. I love that some ignorant uneducated b-m that doesn’t know the word is “Unbelievable” is trying to infer that director was telling them to slam. Get to work retail clerk, you barely have a sales job and can’t do that.
Most areas are being told Set Up and Go has to be charged for anything g related to assisting with a device ie: SIM change, general device help, troubleshooting, and actually helping transfer data.
You know things are bad when we have to resort to adding $30 to orders, “just because” this is part of their larger plan to covert most stores to indirect. Get customer familiar with the practices, pricing and lack of care so that customer are just use to it.
To be clear, SetUpAndGo puts $5 in your bucket. Same as selling $100 accessories. So, (although not much) you do get paid.
Now as for Credit Cards... $0.00
If the media reports that we're doing set up and go, store queues will be filled with grey haired customers waiting over an hour for help getting their pictures transferred to their new phone that their kids ordered online for them.
All areas. Thank God the reps are too stupid to realize that Verizon is taking advantage of them. Otherwise no telling what would happen.
What area is this happening
I know this charge is to make up for the fact that this company and its inept leaders have made bad business decisions.
To be frank this all matters on how much you need the job/how easily you can replace the job. If you are not desperate or can easily get a job making the same amount of money record the meeting and send it to your local news. Most of them love these gotcha stories about stores being shady.
No one cares that they are having us slam something that doesn't pay US. Set up and go is irrelevant on our commission checks, not theirs though. Money goes directly to the big guy.
How do you slam set up and go? The customer would obviously notice 35 for upgrade fee and 30 for set up and go. 30 extra bucks will not go unnoticed.
