My key takeaway:
Most of Patrick’s DRs spoke about high attrition and said their teams were 40-50% new hires or team members in new roles. They congratulated people who stayed, are picking up extra workloads and getting the work done.
Patrick is hoping 2023 will not face the same level of attrition that occurred in 2022. They are going to keep monitoring attrition but seem to think it’s died down the last few weeks (probably because people are waiting for that bonus). They are committed to making sure they’re reacting to attrition and making sure teams have resources they need to get the job done.
Patrick echoed Derek’s RTO sentiment. RTO will become a part of your performance evaluation for 2023.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the people that stayed with WF this year and were picking up extra workloads leave after February bonus payout.
2023 becomes a repeat (or even worse) of 2022.
Simple solution for all of this: FRTO.
