Verizon discount after being laid off?

For those who were laid off or had this knowledge, how long does it take for Verizon to take away the 50% discount for your monthly phone plan after your final day at VZ?

I’m ready to switch to T-Mobile. It’s better coverage anyways.

Do DP agreements and promos drop? Many many years ago if you were let go the contracts were removed completely. DP agreements likely carry over now so they can keep getting their piece of the pie.

What happens if we just traded in a device and the “credits” are spread out over 2 years?

Just switch to TMB... the service is better then Verizons anyways. I only pay for Verizon with the discount with the spot coverage.. full price, never.

Maybe T Mobile can offer a plan to all of the people impacted?

They took my discount within 2 weeks, before the next bill cycle.

I ported to Visible and am saving a fortune for the same service.

I went through this in 2024 and the discount fell off in about 6 weeks. Immediately switched providers and have been hopping around since collecting BYOD promotions. Verizon is barely worth the 50% discount

It happens within 1 bill cycle after your official last day.
