Rumor mill is stating employees in some departments that had 15 years or more were pulled in and offered VSP??? Are these rumors or truth?

Prior to the last GAP it had been 13 years since it was offered. At the time of the last GAP one of the points was that it was the right time to do it since VZ was in a 'position of strength'.
So, No it is highly unlikely that a VSP will be offered. A better get is layoffs once the new Silliman organization has done their analysis on how to best cut costs while minimizing the impact to the company.

They likely werent offered “The VSP”. I’d love if if I was offered it though so wish it were true.
More likely a manager or director had a choice or some input in the decision and asked someone they knew might want to go if they wanted to go. Someone let go could also be just trying to save face saying they volunteered.
