I give them as much loyalty as they give me: none. It’s just business for them and it’s just business for me. I’ll do my job with integrity and do it in 30-40 hours a week. I’ll produce what is asked of me and that’s it. I really went above and beyond last year and my manager said I had a really great year, but unfortunately, no one in our team would get an exceeds because that’s what his manager decided. So mediocrity is treated just the same as high performance and it doesn’t truly matter what I do. Ok. WF, if that’s the game then thanks for letting me know. You’ll get only what is needed from me.
RTO is seriously impacting my art studio time during work hours!
Same boat, this is a Wells Fargo archetype. We are all over the company. We now know better than to treat this as anything other than a paycheck.
I only do what they ask me to do. I no longer go above and beyond. When I did go beyond my work duties, I was told I am doing work I shouldn’t do. My manager reprimanded me for even suggesting my stellar work was considered exceeding . I was punished for exceeding expectations.
Now I do not do extra projects and I do not volunteer for anything.

So your job and only your job. Never volunteer for more work, there will be no benefit for you. The minute you show you can do more, there goes that open position on your team.
This company does NOT recognize hard work in the slightest, this is not a performance culture.
Welcome to camp WF, your badges swipes are being logged. That is all that matters to them at this point.
Is Quiet Quitting, just doing the minimum needed? or something else. I want to practice. Definition please for this newbie who joined 2 years ago and regret the decision.
They tell us it's "pay for performance" so I give them the performance they've paid me for, including never haven been given a raise and screwed on several reviews.
@tlf - Get it!!! Congrats and hoping to be right behind you!
It seems very coincidental that my effort year over year is the same as the ratio of my annual merit increase to inflation. Quiet quiting > merit increase:inflation.
I prefer “acting my wage” to “quiet quitting”
Why perpetuate the narrative that doing your job = quitting?

Learned a new skill over the past two years. I am able to work remote. I will continue quiet quitting and milk Wells as long as I can.
Quitting this garbage corporate life to start the business I’ve worked on the last three years once my check is in my account. Monday they’re going to meet the new me 🙂
