I feel like we work in a dystopian hellscape. I’ve been interviewing but it isn’t easy finding work. I just wish my school would understand that we are understaffed and not miracle workers.

@2uvs+1kY4XZjv: To late! I got bitched out by an administrator because I was the only one working on a Saturday and there was a campus visit that wasn't scheduled AND an event. He wanted to know why I didn't call someone to come in and help me. I told him we didn't have anybody to come in and help me because we don't have the payroll. He wanted to know where the store manager was. Good question. She was supposed to be here 2 hours ago never showed up. By the way, it was her third week at our store. 🤣
They don't WANT us talking to our campus contacts. They don't want them to know what really is going on with this company.
"You can voice your issues or concerns by filling out the survey at the bottom of your receipt .. Thank you... have a nice day."
Perfect. I tell them we are aware of the issue and communicating with the Corporate office is the most effective way to effect changes.
I suppose the Ivory tower just views this as a failure of store management.
Couldn't POSSIBLY be the Almighty Leaders in the Ivory Tower!
Whenever someone complains about the lack of staff or the long lines, I point to the survey at the bottom of the receipt and politely tell them "You can voice your issues or concerns by filling out the survey at the bottom of your receipt .. Thank you... have a nice day."
Im not going to mince words should they ask me about issues.
Tell them! They will likely go out to bid and thank you by keeping you. Happened to me :)!
Why don’t you just tell the campus contact what’s going on?
