I am currently on an H1-B visa and have a grace period of sixty days. I just had a quick question regarding whether or not the notice period is included in this grace period. Or does it include the grace period of sixty days after the termination of employment? Any information would be helpful.

Release Date 12/19/2022
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is providing information for nonimmigrant workers whose employment has terminated, either voluntarily or involuntarily. These workers may have several options for remaining in the United States in a period of authorized stay based on existing rules and regulations.......
I was part of covid layoff and the clock starts on the termination letter listing the last day of your employment.
Also if I am not wrong, you will need to transition to B2 visa and can continue to look for a job if you go beyond 60’days and after you find a job you can get your h1 visa under consular processing. I.e you have to leave the country and get your visa stamped before you can start working again.
Based on personal experience, uscis gives leeway if it’s in the ballpark of 60 days, I have previously been part of layoff at another company and successfully moved to another company on h1b by extending my time at the previous company by asking the company to extend the severance payments as salary payments. Note that I had approved I-140 at that time. It may not be possible at paypal - but, the last salary slip date could be used as the starting point in case it needs to be stretched.
The end date on your last regular paycheck.
I am not with paypal but this is a grey area.... The clock starts on the last “meaningful” work day.... I've heard taht attorneys typically give advice that clock starts the day layoffs are announced.
