Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Never ever

Never ever thought I will be doing this, but it feels so good to stick it to Frank. It really feels good. I have been converted to unlimited vacation. I now take every Friday off. It is so nice to have 3 day weekend. Also, I have no Fiserv phone or Fiserv email on my personal device!!!! I plan on taking one week vacation at the end of each quarter, even if I have no plans, and 2 weeks in December, till I am laid off!!!!!

When you know your time is short what is the motivation to work hard ...?

Pride in the job is great but the cold hard way the business is run trumps my pride.

Time to coast ... You gave up on us first .. remember that ..

I laugh when the HR slappy's post to be careful .. our jobs are going away ... We are gonna be on the streets one way or another...

So far I took 6 days from my unlimited vacation in January. I am not going to be an accounting victim for this unlimited R&R. Frank is banking you are stupid and not taking your time off! Let’s unite and do the strict minimum!

By the way - all vacation has to be approved by your boss whether unlimited or not so soon your game will end. Good luck getting a new job with layoffs abound.

In a perverse way this benefits FB in that doubtless job search and interviews can be done on the out of office days. OK, so you find a new job and just vanish with no reports of a layoff per se. Maybe sev if you play a game right but hey - easy staff reductions.

Frankie boi can kiss it - I earned it putting up with BYOD; majority in; and all this other nonsense.

I’m taking as much as possible out for my sanity and I’m just not caring anymore.

I will take the same amount of time off as I had EARNED for working here as long as I have. No more(well maybe a few extra days), or no less! wink, wink!

Make sure you come in for 50% of the work days in the month. Frank wants that badge report looking good.

I am doing the same. My manager said this is the only benefit he can approve unfortunately and was told it is my right. He asked us not to schedule any meetings on Friday, either take the day off or have a very very light day, he reiterated , NO MEETINGS!

This is my second Friday off and planning to do this every week. F$&ck Frank!!!!

I applaud you for this, but for those not hoping to be laid off soon, I image there's some bean counter somewhere keeping a close tally of everyone's "unlimited" R&R days used and preparing a report for FB. I could see this becoming the new "badge swipe" report. :rolls-eyes:

Not trying to dissuade you, though. Do what you gotta do.

I like the idea - 5 weeks off: 25 days , plus 12*4 ( give or take) = 48.. total of 73 days off. This is awesome 👏 thanks for sharing. I will adopt this strategy immediately! I am too with unlimited R&R
