Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Get ready for the woke-adjustments.

I went through all the raises in reps/AM in my territory, why are an overwhelming amount of LEADING ratings going to female employees?

Some reps with bottom of the barrel performance numbers, getting a LEADING over someone carrying all the weight for their stores?

2 AMs from the same store, same tenure. The female gets a LEADING raise, while the male counterpart gets a PERFORMING.

This company really is turning into an emberassment.

I still remember when I got transfered and suddenly my old team was 100% diverse. I don’t expect they transfered me for that reason but was an interesting my face reminder of not mattering even more than most folks because none of us really matter just some less than others.

As a sales leader, I have been told in the past that I need to "consider" a female on my team when there was an opening. It was not something that needed to be called out because by nature of sales and movement we might naturally end up w an all male team. I only wanted the best most qualified person not because of gender. If you look around, the amount of all female teams to all male teams are distorted. It is ok to have all female teams but not a good look to have all male teams. All female teams are progressive and transformative by ESG standards I am assuming.

Sadly this is nothing new, but probably worse than in the past. I've been personally asked to elevate performance ratings based on non performance related criteria. Everyone needs a trophy, some just get arbitrarily better ones

So performance doesn’t equal performance scores?

That is a shocker!! I tell yah total shocker!! I think it was my first review I learned that. It was who was the most visible to those senior leaders making the call on scores. Who got on the projects they cared about not who did stuff.
