All I'm thinking about is how to survive this year without being laid off. A bonus and a raise are the last things on my mind. I don't necessarily want to but I can deal without any of those things. I can't deal with losing my job, not in this economic environment. I wish I knew how to stop worrying, but I can't.

Take it from someone who has had their job sent to India four times now.
Why don’t you go on the offense and start looking for a new job now? Worrying about something that may or may not happen does no good. Focus on what you can control.
I was the same way in 2020-2021. I had just joined and no soon as I joined, there were big talks about layoffs. Our manager assured us that we had nothing to worry over. I was here every day looking for insights. Nothing.
Then it happened. It was March, 2021, I was wfh, sitting in my living room about to join a call, and my manager called saying that I had been cut. This was my second layoff. Devastated. It took me a while before I found another job. I even tried to come back to Wells. No dice. I did eventually land.
Just know that if it happens, you will get through it. It's rough, and hopefully, you will not be out as long as I was, but you will get through it. Everyone in this economy should be concerned. No one is safe. Even when you do land a new job, you should always be thinking that it could happen again.
My position was one that bonus eligibility was eliminated. I am hoping and crossing fingers for merit larger than 2%
I hope that you all get some fat bonuses
Think about them because it’s your hard work that earns it. This isn’t charity work.
Update your linked in and then change your setting to open to work, but viewable by recruiters only. Have your resume updated as well. You may be surprised.
Apply other places, I promise it’s not as scary out there as they like to make you think it is.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Oh man, thanks. I needed a good morning laugh. You write as if the OP is an Illegal Immigrant working for Tyson Chicken and won't provide PPE or minimum wage, makes them sleep in the back of tractor trailers and there are no other employers in town.
How exactly does WF have any of us "over a barrel"? Rhetorical question because they don't. You're just full of isht. This place is no Mecca so stop trying to make people out to be martyrs. Every single employee has the ability to leave, OP may not WANT to and feel like they are stuck but that doesn't make this dumpster fire of an employer predatory in any way (unless your a banking customer ZING!)
People in your position are exactly what a predatory company like WF wants. They've got you over a barrel and they know it. Expect them to act accordingly.
You can do better. Think of WF as a small stepping stone in the path of your life. Focus your off-duty time in finding a better job.
If you're in love with WF, then you'll still want to leave. Then you have a chance at coming back in the future, but into a better position. Once you're in your "silo" (as you are in right now), it's almost impossible to promote out of it. Leaving and then coming back into some other position is the only way.

I know it can be scary. I was laid off from Wells in 09. Best thing to happen to me. Came back about a decade later. And 09 was a rough time in the economy. I know it's easy to say dont stress. It will be okay - either way - and maybe lead to something much better for you. You got this.
