Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

When did you stop making efforts?

A good management is one that knows how to get the best out of people. The management at Fiserv is the most successful at demoralizing good workers. It is not at all rare that someone who used to be a role model employee now does the bare minimum.

I also believe that the quarterly meetings that boast about the next acquisition while little conversation is about how to reinvest back into the company definitely lowers morale. I understand from a business expect but there's too much conversation about stockholders and not enough conversation regarding stakeholders and our happiness. When the employee is happy everything grows from there. It has always been bottom-up never top down

You just aren't going to succeed with that attitude. You need to "lean in" and embrace the change. Like when you see one of your colleagues try to find a way around the current policies and remain productive, you need to encourage them to follow the policies and waste even more time.

Alone you can only waste 100% of your time. But, working together, we can waste much more than 100%! Synergy is when two employees are 300% unproductive.

The explosion of needless micromanagement is crushing. The loss of knowledge and experience is growing in impact each week. Non-sensical business decisions are made quickly and easily, but any requests for meaningful help are deferred and delayed until the requestor gives up. Seeing so many colleagues who were dedicated and engaged pushed out wears on everyone's work ethic and drive to do their best work wanes. All the turnover in past year has made for a company of strangers. Melancholy rules. Kneejerk responses about "resisting change" don't help. People stopped caring when the company did. #FiservSad
