Nike store in downtown Seattle to close on Jan. 20

The Nike store in downtown Seattle is closing near the end of January.

A sign was recently posted in the window of the sportswear store at 1500 6th Ave. saying that it would be closing on Jan. 20, 2023. At this time it is unknown why the store is closing after years in the area.

Is the MLK store really permanently closed? As of last week, there were a bunch of cardboard boxes in there but now it looks like a normal retail floor. I was hoping it was getting ready to open again…

Glad you all pay attention to retail and the DTC strategy. The store in Bellevue Square is already under construction.

Because of crime. I moved out of Seattle after it was great in 1990. Glad to be gone.

Because downtown Seattle is horrible? I wouldn’t be surprised if they reopened in a better neighborhood, like Bellevue.
