Who in their right mind would buy it? I mean seriously, once it has been dismembered to a skeleton, what value would it really have?

They'll just make some stuff up. There's a su---r born every minute.

“ OA is being reduced to spare parts and likely to be sold off for chump change within the next year,”

They already have started to let technical resources go last November.

It may help to think of this one as the mother of all Oracle layoffs

ORCL will feel pressure to follow suit from its peers/investors and likely lay off 5-10% in the next couple of months, I'm betting. No sources, just a hunch.

It's simply trendy rn in tech and they can get away with it, so why not pad LE and SC's bank account?

Unlike other tech co's, who offer generous severance (~3 months), expect the ORCL norm of pro-rated severance based on employee tenure (like if you've been here 30 months you'll get 2 weeks and 2.5 days, woohoo!).

Can confirm some product managers let go on OA. Good ones too.

But fear not : OA is being reduced to spare parts and likely to be sold off for chump change within the next year, meaning it will be death by 1k cuts from here on out. That's what ES is tasked with, it's like a PIP but for failed acquisitions.

It becomes a social contagion. When one big tech company does it, the rest are soon to follow.

Without a doubt, sadly. And unlike Microsoft and Amazon, you won't hear about it in advance because Oracle can't bother to communicate.
