VSP created opportunities at the time when the me too movement and BLM came to the forefront. Some very deserving employees were promoted and some not so qualified were promoted because the company had to play catchup. It was incumbent on the HR to give the promoted employees lacking qualifications the training they needed to be successful. Now it's time we all play by the same rules let the chips fall where they may.
I can agree on that. There are two women that got promoted to see. Managers and they couldn't find their a-s with both hands. They were both check offs on the diversity list.
All these companies are screwed up with diversity bs. Hire them based on what they know, not because they are a minority or a female
The problem is not to many managers, the problem is that there are to many unqualified Sr. Managers that were hired just to fullfill a woke agenda! Wherever you see an unqualified woke hired manager you need to go up one level in management and fire their boss. That is how you fix the mess. That is how you clear the ranks of yes men and dead wood in management.
For any question I’ve had for my senior manager for the last few years it has been an old fashioned game of telephone between me , them, and their boss except it can take days or forever to get back a response. Just like the old elementary school game the response is often not what was asked.
Sounds like the OP is an ambitious supervisor.
