Why is every leader managing a team they have no experience in? Lots of fail-up leaders, PH being led by a president with a BA in Journalism, KW, the list goes on. Feels like we’re all on a sinking ship.

They hire leaders who can set morality aside when it’s inconvenient. The most inauthentic people that I have ever witnessed in my career.
Mayday-Mayday!!! The Titanic is sinking.
You need to drink more corporate octane. Burns from both ends.
Patient first my A**
Yep. A sinking ship. At least on the Titanic, there were some rank and file survivors that made it to lifeboats. Here, the lifeboats are already filling up with senior leadership and management. Not the same scruples exist in today's world. At Medtronic or elsewhere. Sad.
How's ya OU's OHS score on "trust our senior leadership"? Mine's getting worse every yeah.
It's plain as day that all the senior leadership's common goal is to max out their bonuses while squeezing the employees as much as possible. RTOs? No rating of 5? Do more with less?
None of the senior leaders I know are holding themselves to the same standard. What's even worse is they pretend they care. They start up all these stupid initiatives to act like they're working on some kind of solution, which just creates more distractions for us all.
It’s the single biggest problem within Medtronic- layers upon layers of managers… and a profound lack of true leaders. That’s what a couple decades of low expectations and substandard hiring practices does to an organization.
It's because upper managements only want "yes men/women" as managers. They don't want people who have experience and a spine to push back to be managers.
