First of all, as banking employees, we are highly restricted from contributing to any political campaigns. Just look at the job applications in Eightfold.
Second, I feel the bank knows there are major macroeconomic events happening and is tightening the belt for the next cycle. Just look at the budgets if you have the chance or privilege to see. Whatever happens next year, I'm pretty sure there is a budget for that, and it will tell us how employment will look for 2026.
This whole AI topic is just smoke and mirrors to increase the stock price by tricking trading algorithms. Remember that BNY is a custodial bank, and its highly depend on fees. Anything wrong with the overall market and they are done
