People who are being laid off, is your last day today or Friday?

Friday. I am still going to wrap up work for my supervisor. I will need a recommendation, and this is a small industry. I'd rather leave with a sweet taste in my manager's mouth than bitter.
Access to the building is over after Friday.
HOWEVER, in some departments they prefer you to "leave" the day of the notice. Mostly because of proprietary documents, etc.

Officially, Friday. But have been checked out ever since I've known I was let go lol
