I've been seeing more companies laying off employees blaming AI. Amazon laying off 14K corporate jobs. So many roles within Fidelity seem very robotic to me as it may be easy to utilize AI to cut overhead the question is on timing? If you work in one of the call centers you will notice what ever role the employees are in they are following a script, oh excuse me a call model for that role. There's very little self thinking within Fidelity so it seems would not be too far off when AI could easily learn the call models and also how to sound human to a client on the other end. Just the thought for the day

They literally just released Score GPT... the name lmao. Really throwing it in the call center employees faces. That is phase one.

This time it is good for employees that Fidelity always lags behind on tech and business trends!
If leaders are thinking things through, they will use AI where it can create efficiencies and accuracy. (There are many tasks associates do manually that could be handled by AI or even robust programming.) Easing the burden on employees and applying human skills more tactically will benefit Fidelity’s business and improve associate morale. It will take time to get there and eventually lead to lower headcount but is far superior to mass layoffs now.
You vote Republican, you give them control over all three branches of government, then you get a situation where an unreliable, often hallucinating AI fed on stolen data and copyrighted materials is used you to ruins livelihoods because mentally ill people like Bezos want a few zeros next to their NW to show off for their handful of global peers.
