All the bit$hing about layoffs and RTO can be summarized and understood by understanding the un mutable living fact. Which is, 100 MILLION of us will be displaced by AI by 2030.
Fact, not fiction. There will be civil unrest. There will be difficult times. This vast wasteland called T is the least of our worries, Look to your right and to your left. I promise you those employees will be unemployed.

It's going to be a case of these tech and telecoms ki-ling the golden goose. They are to d-mb to see the golden goose was their workforce.
AI don't pay the bills.
40% of the company will be retired based on age before 2030, so no need to worry. Just have to worry about keeping around those in their 20s and 30s which RTO is not helping to do.

Well, AI isn’t there yet, as much as they want you to believe it. Kind of like quantum computing, the CEOs and talking heads have been sold a shiny object that will fix everything and eliminate most of those pesky workers and their costs. However, like most sales pitches, it’s not what it seems to be and doesn’t function as advertised.
No doubt they will say we can cut all these jobs and then do it in anticipation, but in the end they will see they over rotated and need people to perform the tasks because AI just needs another couple years.
However, longer term, what you say is true, eventually it will. It will disrupt large swaths of the population and cause a depression. When people can’t find work or support their families, there will be a large workforce wanting to pay retribution to those that caused this. That is definitely coming. They are cutting their own throats and don’t even realize it. But hey, they got theirs and that’s all the matters.
It all started with horse driven plows replacing field hands. We need 95% back at work in agriculture. Lets bring back the switchboard operators.
Completely agree. The only solution is to stop the CEOs and billionaires now before we are all eating data center waste for calories.

I believe the good Lord will pour out His wrath on this world…sooner than later. At this point, it would seem to be via WW3. A nuclear h0l0caust will put an end to AI…& the world.
