Any news if patient health and safety staff are included this week?
@ak the entire meeting was laying the groundwork for how AI will come in and take all of our jobs
Yes more than likely is they are saying. PSR’s and techs.
@ak I’m a sr dir within OI and we are very heavily impacted
Yuuup. That ESRO CloudFlare cr-p went down and took the entire IT organization with it. Same for their "Hub and Spoke" firewall. Single points of failure for our entire company. Great system design!!
Problem is not the RIF but those in the trenches that do not share or provide less than subpar services. In the case of ESRO’s Chicken Little taking Board of Director mandate to secure our apps and network to a point of complete dysfunction and unimaginable issues trying to go to cloud and maintain level of service to keep the light on. So many outages due to core services enabling Cloud and AI to fail. What happens when everything gets consolidated. When foundation breaks, every app on them breaks. Thanks MR 100X. OI good luck ya hall. Time to bail out of there.
ESRO 10% cut
Customer service across all orgs. If you’re in intake or anything that takes incoming calls you may be at risk. Had a department meeting where they are pushing to issue PIPs and CAPs to scare people into quitting or an excuse for a letting them go once their dept layoff comes around.
I still don't understand everyone saying it'll be OI and OT. I feel like it's just guess work at this point. They just raved about OI all meeting long in the All Optum call.
Can anyone confirm the departments within wellmed?
Yeah one of the facets of remote work is that they can cut a lot of people and WARN does not trigger. It really makes it easy to gut a workforce silently.
The takeaway from WFH was: "Hey if they can do it from their spare bedroom in Burnsville, they could do it in Hyderabad.."
They layoffs won't be enough to trigger WARN- https://mn.gov/deed/programs-services/dislocated-worker/dislocated-worker/news/
Mostly Tech and OI. Maybe some normal customer service roles across all orgs. They have done mass hires for customer service and are now over staffed so they need to lay people off by issuing a lot of PIP and CAPs that they will use as a excuse to lay people off by the end of the year. If your supervisor or manager has never mentioned a problem with your work or quality then suddenly issues one do no t sign it and keep record of everything. Talk to a labor attorney for a consultation and do what you can to cover your own a-s. If you think you’re over doing it, you’re not. Good luck everyone.
