Before deciding it'll be bad, or good, or whatever, why can't we just wait for a few months and see what happens?

No argument! That is criminal when you think of how many "V-Teamers" are no longer here because of Hans and his half witted ideas and sycophant su-k ups who surrounded him but never delivered any good news about growth, net new adds, returns on investments, or health of the company culture.
His "You Failed" separation bonus rewards him with an obscene amount of unearned wealth, regardless of whether he bankrupted the company or managed to edge out T Mobile.
I will not be surprised if there are soon to be more than a few shareholder lawsuits. They were definitely robbed, the customers got robbed, and so have the employees.
Hans definitely goes down in dirtball ceo history and could be a contender for the 2025 Denis Kozlowski award, time and lawsuits will tell!
Bad or Good?
I am proclaiming it bad that the former CEO gets some type of gig and I assume paycheck for the next year, but boots on the ground/where the rubber meets the road folks will be off payroll 60 days after notification. Bad, bad, bad.

Being a legacy NJB guy amd 40+ yrs in Vz this is not a strategy issue. It’s a Culture/Execution issue.
DEI leaders fail to execute on Customer/Financial results…meritocracy non existent.
Board finally replaced failed CEO… hard look at who remains is critical. This is not a simple cut more 1/2 line mgmt and union. Its cut Director/ up levels. The question is how can you trust who is in the room cutting and ensuring meritocracy. Foxes watching Hen house.
My money is on new CEO to get it right.
If no Director cuts.. Company will become a Harvard Business Case of yet another example of failed Executives who

We are waiting to see what happens tomorrow and Thursday. Most likely HR is preparing higher-ups today for the layoffs tomorrow and Thursday. The company made a lot of poor choices under Hans, now we suffer the consequences of their bad choices. Not pessimistic, just reality.

Take everything here with a grain of salt, it’s a layoff site of course people are pessimistic about everything at this company. Scroll to the bottom and pick any other company and it’s the same deal.
Go ahead and purchase that luxury car or truck or RV, go for that 1000 FT addition to your lean-to house, book that vacation to the Swiss Alps. Now is the perfect time.
