I'm new and I trying to figure out how much we make off a single new line sale? It's not very clear how it works. Seems really convoluted for a sales job? Not sure I want to stick around if this is the comp plan they have. They seem to raise the bar so that no one makes money. If they control the goal post then what's my incentive?

The pay at tmobile is far better as well.
OP here. I looked into ATT and they did have a much better incentive to sell their products so I quit and got a job there. Much happier now. Vteamers are joke. VZ is a sad sad place to work hard for little pay
Run dude run. I just come back to read posts now and then. Best part of work was po----g because I got paid to do that.
The pay is honestly cr---y when you look at it and I scammed the company for that exact reason.
Take the dollar value for example phone add =100. Divide that 100 by your sales dollar quota, example 40,000. 100/40000= .0025 now multiply that by your at risk which is target commissions example $850. So $850×.0025= $2.13 That will be for every new line the store does, not just yourself.
Same, I've never worked in a sales environment where you have to “unlock” your commission…stupid
ATT pays their employees a direct cash amount for sales. You might want to look into switching?
new hires know about the comp plan and they aren't d-mb... the company thinks they are... paying them pennies onthe dollar with a terrible comp plan to mask the truth
I did the math. It's negative $2.36 per line.
3 theories from this thread 1. The OP is trolling us there is no way a new hire doesn’t know about our comp
Plan
- The 2 week hire training must really suck and there are a lot of confused new hires
3 . Verizon is hiring not so bright employees.
Oh so that's what the Hanzi scheme is!
Well, if you do get lucky enough to make any money this month, they'll just raise the quotas the next month so that you make nothing the next month. It's a joke and a scam!!
Yeah this is one of the few if any sales/commission job were you have to sell a set amount before you actually start making money. The number you're looking for is very look. Also if you're smart enough to wonder and go looking, you won't be around very long. One of the few jobs that actively works against their employees and employees making money. Hopefully someone can chime in and do the math for you.
